Y're right of course, but if the performance of two jackets was on a par, and their prices considerably different, I say that was cause for a mark-down (or a mark-up, depending on which way your wallet's orientated at the time!). Chris (et al) are merely looking after your balances so you can afford more Chateau de l'Hotel du Parc.

Funny too - Sam was my nickname at scouts when I was teenie, though our troop seemed more concerned with woggle buffing and marching in step than lying down in the heather, kneeling in bogs and wading rivers. I eventually left so I could have greater opportunity to lie down with the likes of Heather.

So, does 'SAM' lie down in the wet heather to have his lunch, kneel in the bog as he pushes in his tentpegs as the rain is thrashing down?. Does Sam wade rivers in his waterproofs and then see how long they take to dry?

I think your jobs are safe, John, Chris & Judy!

There is one thing that really does bug me about Chris's reports though: (and has done for years!) Why does he mark products badly if they are expensive? I am only interested in his report on the performance of the product. Let me know the price by all means, but let me decide if it is good value. The price does not affect the performance.
