Salmon or turkey?
Steph and I were treated to a pint by Mike Harding (Steph had a fruity thing, owing to her condition of course) in Stainforth’s Craven Heifer last night.
While we were nattering, hosts Dean and Jen walked in with the new Christmas menu. Any hiking groups looking for a venue for their Christmas dinners might want to give it a try – menu available here – the food’s grand, the walking hereabouts is fantastic and the neighbours are tolerable.
Email Jen and Dean (no, they’re not a ’60s surf duo) at info@thecravenheifer.co.uk or call them on 01729 822599.

Pathfinder,
I look forward to sharing that pint with you for real one night! Last night we were on Taylor’s Golden Best at the Black Horse in Giggleswick - one of my all time favourite ales.
I’ll have a word with the guys in the Heifer and see if they can arrange for a pork pie to be included in the menu soon, just to make sure you don’t miss that flight!
Stainforth is warmer tonight, as our heating system just came on-line. Watch out kitchen and bathroom, you’re next.
